What's coming, and who decides it
Every change we make starts with a teacher telling us something is harder than it should be.
We are not guessing
Lessonsuite exists because a primary teacher described her Sunday evening to us in detail: the crucial knowledge statement from school, the blank PowerPoint, the worksheet made from scratch. Everything since has been built the same way.
The flow changed twice because teachers told us it was confusing. The curriculum mapping was reviewed by practising primary teachers before it went anywhere near the product. The lesson structures are the ones primary schools actually use, not the ones that were easiest to build.
We ask. Teachers see what we are working on before it ships, and tell us when it is wrong.
We watch. Where people get stuck is more honest than what anyone says in a survey, including us.
We ship. Small improvements most weeks, rather than a big release twice a year.

This is the worst it will ever be
Lessonsuite is young. We would rather tell you that plainly than have you discover it on your first lesson. What is here works, teachers use it every week, and a lot of what we do is making it better rather than making it bigger.
Right now we are working on:
Slides that look like the subject.
A lesson on Ancient Rome should not look like a lesson on fractions. We are building slide designs for each subject, then for the topics inside them, so a Romans deck feels like Romans and a water cycle deck feels like the water cycle.
Better lessons, not just faster ones.
Constant work on what actually comes out: sharper activities, better questioning, tighter differentiation, and wording pitched properly for the year group.
Fewer clicks.
Most weeks we take something that needs four steps and make it need one.
New ways to work.
We watch where teachers get stuck and build around that, rather than adding features because they sound impressive.
If something we make is not good enough for your class, tell us. That is the fastest way to make it better.
What we are building now
Units and schemes of work.
Plan a unit as a sequence rather than one lesson at a time, so each lesson builds on the last and the recap knows what you taught last week.
More materials.
Knowledge organisers, retrieval starters and home learning, drawn from the same plan so everything matches.
Marking.
The thing teachers ask us for most, after planning.
No dates, because we would only be guessing and you have been promised enough by enough edtech companies.
The whole job, eventually
Planning is the first pain, not the only one. The ambition is a teaching suite that takes on the work keeping you in school after five: reports, marking, the differentiation planning nobody sees, and the admin that surrounds actual teaching.
And the part that matters most to us: lessons built for the children actually in front of you. Not a generic Year 3, but yours. The ones who need a scaffold to access it, the ones who need stretching, the ones who missed the three lessons before this one. Support planned for individual children that still fits one lesson, taught to one class, by one teacher, in fifty minutes.
That is a long way off, and we will get there by building one useful thing at a time.
Some promises
We will not ask for pupil names.
Supporting individual children does not require identifying them. When we build it, it will use anonymous profiles, controlled by your school, and we will explain exactly how before it ships.
We will not replace your judgement.
Everything Lessonsuite makes is a draft you review. That will not change, whatever the models can do.
We will not sell your data.
Not to anyone, not ever. Whether your lessons help improve Lessonsuite is a setting you control, and anything your school uploads is never used for it.
We will not ship something because it demos well.
If teachers do not use it in a real week, it does not ship.
