Cookie notice

In short

Two cookies keep you signed in and remember this choice. Everything else stays off until you turn it on, and you can change your mind whenever you like.

The short version

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We use as few as we can get away with. Nothing we set is used for advertising, and nothing is shared with an advertising network.

Essential

A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers your cookie choice so we stop asking. These cannot be turned off, because without them the product does not work.

Analytics

Aggregate counts of which pages get used and where people give up. It tells us that eleven teachers abandoned the brief step yesterday, not who they were. Off unless you say yes.

Product improvement

Error reports and performance timings, so we can find the slow and broken parts. Also off unless you say yes.

Changing your mind

Open the preferences panel below and change whatever you like. Your browser can also clear cookies, and if you do that we will ask again on your next visit.

Cookies, briefly
